Full time, 3pm - 3:30am, 3 days a week with weekend rotations.

Sign on Bonus Eligible for new hire who has not worked for Baptist Health or its affiliates in the preceding 12 months.

Job Description

The Medical Technologist performs routine and/or complex Clinical Laboratory procedures within any or all the section of the Clinical Laboratory to include Blood Bank, Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Microbiology and Urinalysis with special emphasis on assigned department.

Job Duties

• Performs technical procedures in appropriate departments
• Collects specimens as needed
• Processes specimens appropriately
• Reports results accurately and timely
• Excellent communication and telephone skills
• Consistently follows hospital departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related science - MT/MLS
• Associate Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related science - MLT
• Successful completion of School for Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science

Preferred Requirements

• Certification as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MLT(ASCP), CLS(NCA) or equivalent preferred
