Senior DevOps Engineer with Kubernetes experience

Job Description

Working within a Software Vendor environment, the Senior DevOps Engineer will contribute to the modernization of the company's Software release pipeline to incorporate Kubernetes-based technology stacks ( eg: Tanzu TKGI, AKS, EKS).

This role will be working with the existing Software and DevOps teams to ensure that our released software packages/images can be effectively deployed into Customer sites that operate their own Kubernetes infrastructure.

The deliverables will include updated build and release processes, development of configuration, processes, and documentation that we will be able to provide to Customers.

Responsibilities:

• Development of Containerized Infrastructure strategy and tools
• Development of networking and load balancing configuration to achieve workload distribution, session failover and cross-session messaging configurations
• Establishment of Kubernetes-based QA platform to execute and test the updated release pipeline
• Implementation of application alarming and availability monitoring within the deployed stack

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production experience deploying container-based application infrastructure and Kubernetes orchestration (eg: Docker, Tanzu TKGI, AKS, EKS )
• 4+ years of Linux (RedHat/CentOS) system administration
• 4+ years of scripting/programming language (Shell scripting, makefile, ANT, Ansible, etc)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
