US-Saturation Team Lead (Night)

Immediate Supervisor: Manufacturing Manager

Status: Hourly

Position Description: The Saturation Machine Lead Operator is responsible for leading the team to ensure that work is accomplished safely while producing a quality product on-time to satisfy customer demand. Responsible for ensuring their team meets safety, quality, training and productivity targets. Responsible for coaching and supporting team. The lead operator is also responsible for performing work assigned in the manufacturing department according to the requirements of the process. They must work in a safe, productive, efficient, and quality conscious manner on all tasks. The employee must be self-motivated, cooperative, and have excellent attendance. They must follow all work rules while performing job duties and utilize critical reasoning skills when solving problems that effect safety, quality, and productivity.

Principle Accountabilities

1. Actively participate in Blythewood Plant Safety Program. Successfully complete Company provided safety training.

1. Knowledge and practice of all safety procedures in the area.

1. Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action on those within your control. Report all others immediately to site management. Suggest ideas for safety related improvements to the process or procedures

1. Check calibration of gauges and other data collection equipment.

1. Extensive knowledge of production specifications and quality requirements.

1. Operation of required material handling devices and proper handling of materials.

1. Collect data and compete record keeping requirements.

1. Perform in-process quality testing.

1. Participate in periodic internal quality audit activities.

1. Take corrective actions to restore or maintain quality. If problem not resolved, timely communicate quality problems

1. Demonstrate extensive knowledge in setting up and operating equipment for production processes.

1. Use measuring and weighing tools and devices accurately.

1. Reach agreement for job rotation assignments so that all members routinely perform all duties within assigned area and can achieve certification.

1. Trains team members in requirements of each process. Provide input to team member certification progress within the various skill levels as defined in the element trees.

1. Makes daily job assignments for shift start-up. Coordinate workflow with team members and other work groups.

1. Approves vacation and personal time requests of team members. Approves time to be paid within the payroll recordkeeping system. Maintains attendance records

1. Perform routine maintenance, including but not limited to cleaning equipment, lubricating equipment, making adjustments, and fixing minor mecha
