Global Facilities is currently seeking an EHS Senior Specialist to serve as an individual contributor on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance Global Facilities owned, managed and leased locations performance and compliance.  Successful candidate will be based in building AB in Peoria, IL but will have additional responsibilities for other Global Facilities locations in North America.

What You Will Do

  • Champion the company’s EHS strategy by embedding robust systems, policies and procedures across project lifecycles.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting and sustaining safe work practices across multiple sites and promoting the Safety Driven Strategy.
  • Drive world class health and safety culture initiatives across Global Facility locations.
  • Conduct EHS site audits and inspections, generating actionable reports and ensuring timely resolution of any findings.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, industry standards, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Develop and Support EHS Training programs including Environmental Awareness, New Employee Onboarding, HOP and Contractor Management.
  • Facilitate emergency preparedness and response training,
  • Collect and analyze EHS data and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate EHS Management Reviews and governance,
  • Complete reports for submission to government agencies.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in EHS policy compliance; to include policy design and implementation. Demonstrated achievement in ensuring the products and services we provide are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with all legal requirements and standards.
  • Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Overcoming Resistance to Change: Understanding and insight into the futility of refusing to accept the inevitable and ability to overcome resistance and adapt to a complex and changing environment.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Sustainability: Knowledge of sustainability strategies; ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization to build a sustainable business model.
