Senior Associate Accounting, Carrier Commercial HVAC

About This Role

As a Senior Accounting Associate for Carrier Commercial HVAC, you will manage daily accounting activities to ensure smooth financial operations. You will maintain the general ledger, balance sheets, and bank reconciliations while overseeing projects and government accounting. Your focus on accuracy will ensure our financial statements and cost revenue reports align perfectly with industry standards.

This is a hybrid position that requires three days in the office and two days remote per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accounting for ALCS within the Carrier organization

• Support the month end closing & reporting processes to ensure accuracy of financial reporting

• Complete timely account reconciliations and ensure their quality complies with Carrier standards

• Provide accounting support to finance and field operation teams

• Maintain accounting standard work documentation of system processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge continuity

• Participate in finance and digital (DT) projects, offering support for system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements

• Special ad-hoc projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics

• 3+ years’ experience in Financial Accounting

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and application of accounting principles and internal control procedures

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Knowledge of and experience with percentage of completion accounting

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively to management

• Attention to detail and timeliness; ability to deliver a quality work product on time

• Strong initiative, drive, motivation, curiosity

• Adaptable/Self starter

• Experience with tools that automate processes and support accounting and reporting functions

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
