Job Purpose and Overview

Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Production Team. Ensures safe production of quality products to meet customer needs in the most cost-effective manner. Promote both food and personal safety.

 

Work Environment & Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm or until work is complete, rotating weekends required. 

 

What will you do as a Production Supervisor at Dawn Foods? 

• Establish and drive safety as a core value through training, equipment and job design, work assignments, and regulatory compliance.
• Assures that all products produced meet product specifications, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Establish high-performance standards in housekeeping, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), American Institute of Baking (AIB), International Food Standard (IFS), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements.
• Manages daily production requirements to consistently meet customer expectations.
• Evaluate team performance efficiencies and coordinate necessary resources.
• Coaches, teaches, coordinates, and evaluates programs for team members to develop skills advantageous to the company's needs and goals.
• Able to manage some initial employee relation matters and conflict
• Participates as a key member of the plant leadership.

•  Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Manager.
•  Adhere to the Food Defense and Security functions within the facility.

 

What Does It Take to be a Production Supervisor at Dawn Foods? 

• High School Diploma or GED required 
• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing is required.
• Food Industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computers required. 
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
