Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The PA will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care.Β Β The PA also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered.

This position is for a PA role on the Thoracic Surgery team. It is a fast paced environment, working with critically ill patients. Works both inpatient and outpatient.

Salary range : $83.46-$112.31/hourly

  • CA PA License-required
  • Degree for PA Program- required (Master's degree preferred)
  • National Board Certification as a PA-required
  • BLS and ACLS certification from AHA or ARC-required
  • 2 years relevant experience as PA- preferred ( Will consider new grads)Β 
  • NPI #, DEA #,
  • Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES- required
  • Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel
  • Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction
  • Ability to set priorities
  • Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence
  • Β Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner
