The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support one of our Internal Medicine offices located at 101 Main St Medford, MA. Weekly schedules consist of 36 hours of patient-facing, clinical time, and 4 hours of administrative time. The APP will work on site the following days and times:
• Monday-Friday, hours are between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with some flexibility)

Our office provides physical examinations, routine health screenings, and preventative care for adults. The goal is to identify and control patients' health risk factors before they become problems. We diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and promote general health, disease prevention and overall well-being.

The APP will support the practices panel of patients enhancing practice operations, increasing patient volume and efficiency while also providing excellent patient care and experience. This includes traditional primary care visits and same day sick appointments. With this model, providers work autonomously to the top of their licensure while also functioning as part of a team.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.

Essential Functions
-Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting.
-Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
-Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
-Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
-Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
-Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries.
-Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
