Senior Accountant

This position is being posted as a partnership between Sago and Sago Health, a Health Insights/Med Learning Group Company. The selected employee will be employed by Sago under the direction of Sago Health for the remainder of 2025 and fully moving to a Med Learning Group employee on January 1, 2026. Documentation of each employment will be provided to our selected candidate at hiring time.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to manage financial transactions. You will play a key part in auditing financial documents and procedures, posting journal entries, reconciling bank statements and handling monthly balance sheet reconciliations. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to representing the company with integrity.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage accounting transactions
• Prepare budget & forecasts
• Publish financial statements
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

· Bachelors in accounting or finance

Experience:

· Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in service-related industry

· Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

· Advanced MS Excel skills

· Experience with general ledger functions

· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

· Hands-on experience with Salesforce and/or NetSuite preferred, but not required

· Be able to perform effectively as a team member, while working independently to meet goals and deadlines

Compensation Details:

· Base pay: $74,000+, based on experience
