Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Director, Technical Solution Development.

The ManTech Technology Solution Architect is an experienced technologist specializing in the creation, development, and continuing maturity of Cloud native containerized microservices based applications, Cloud Data platforms that support both transactional, streaming, and analytical data environments. As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will lead the architecture and design of the data backbone supporting key initiatives within the DHS ecosystem. Helping architect multi-tiered data platforms, you will help define and deliver a next generation cloud and data infrastructure that supports a host of use cases across the Federal /DHS enterprise.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as Technology Solution Architect across a portfolio of opportunities, including a large Cloud Microservice/ Data modernization opportunity pursuit.
• Developing technology proofs of concept to address solution and architecture risks, solution.
• Lead technical projects with a range of development teams to architect, build, design, and scale next-generation technology platforms.
• Help ensure designs provide system quality attributes such as reliability, availability, scalability, and performance.
• Work with development teams to communicate architectural designs and project plans to key stakeholders.
• Influence and establish best engineering practices through solid design decisions, processes and tools.
• Set goals, strategies, and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple technologies.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of software engineering, cloud technologies and data engineering to define target architectures, patterns, and processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring of engineering teams, working closely with architects and business leaders.
• Lead tool and technology selection. Drive standardization and reuse of industry leading technology across the organization.
• Develop and maintain Microservices application architecture with DDD, Distributed tracing.
• Serve as lead Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) in designing and implementing robust cloud solutions using AWS meeting business requirements.
• Design secure and FEDRAMP compliant AWS-based systems, considering cybersecurity best practices and principles for IL5 and IL6 environments.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure code using tools in CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and identifying potential vulnerabilities within the cloud infrastructure and architectures.
• Implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks identified through risk assessments.
• Implement and manage robust security controls, encryption methods, identify and access management (IAM) and ensure adhering to compliance standards within AWS services.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with AWS services.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security practices within the CI/CD pipeline, implement automated security testing, and ensuring a secure development lifecycle.
• Identify and resolve issues in AWS infrastructure and applications.
• Develop and maintain data integration and data quality solution elements.
• Develop and maintain data governance solutions.
• Ensure data backup and storage systems as well as identifying security or usability concerns in cloud native architectures.
• Work with Agile and DevOps techniques and implementation approaches in the delivery.
• Using good communication skills to understand and deliver RFP requirements
• Recommend, Manage and use tools in the cloud data warehouse development and deployment such as ETL tools, data quality and cleansing tools, query/reporting tools, OLAP, data mining, etc.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to establish requirements and design for data integration, systems and infrastructure needs along with metrics calculation, dashboard, and alerting
• Research emerging technology trends, new models, vendor solutions and market opportunities to identify potential industry disruptors that could help ManTech dominate their position in the market
• Responsible for developing/implementing cloud infrastructure to support current and future business needs
