CNA 2 - Acute Pediatrics

CNA 2 - Acute Pediatrics at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is a 0.9 FTE full time position working during weekdays and weekends on a night shift.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $4,000. Eligible external hires must meet the required qualifications and conditions for payment.

The CNA 2/HUC is a key person within the decentralized nursing unit, who provides overall administrative and technical support in the operation of the unit; collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight, and operation of the unit; and performs CNA II patient care duties. Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

CLERICAL: Initiates and prioritizes transcription of provider orders. Assembles and maintains patient charts, current forms and results/reports.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Health Unit Coordinator or secretarial coursework along with a medical terminology course or experience. Or equivalent educ/experience
• Health Unit Coordinator: 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in a health care environment.
• CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
• Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License 
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 
• Experience with a variety of software applications.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of Acute care hospital experience, ideally performing CNA and/or Health Unit Coordinator duties.
• 1 year of experience as a CNA 2.
