This internship program is designed to empower growth by exploring the dynamic nature of the defense industry throughout Raytheon Operations, Supply Chain & Quality (OSCQ). Your summer will be focused in Industrial Engineering within our OSCQ Excellence organization. Throughout the summer, you will be able to expand your knowledge of OSCQ as a whole while also gaining unprecedented exposure to leadership along the way.
What You Will Do
- Identify throughput constraints by performing capacity, simulation, what-if scenario analysis
- Drive factory improvement project priorities through the use of analytical tools.
- Coordinate factory capability needs for yield improvements and new technology.
- Identify and participate in improvement projects to support constraint elimination
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean Principles to include the use of value stream maps, line balancing, and error proofing
- Support manufacturing objectives for cost, quality, on time delivery and safety
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering, Math, Science, or Technology or other STEM
- Experience with Industrial Engineering processes and tools
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Degree focus in Industrial or Systems Engineering
- Experience in a Defense Manufacturing environment
- Thorough organizational, collaborative and communication skills
- Experience with the RTX CORE Operating System
