Sr. Associate, Margins and Operations

Description

Lido Advisors is looking for a self-driven financial professional to join the Investment Management team who enjoys working within a team environment, collaborating across multiple groups and disciplines, and proactively developing solutions and processes. This role will primarily be responsible for managing and maintaining Lido’s margin programs at various custodians, developing best practices and processes, and working closely with Lido’s Trading, Options and Client Services teams. In addition, participate in any training sessions with colleagues and partner firms and address daily questions from across the organization. 

Given Lido’s rapidly growing business, this role will provide additional opportunities to participate in key projects and initiatives across the organization and the Investment Management team. 

Key Responsibilities

• Establishing, managing and maintaining Product margin demands and levels
• Maintaining and ensuring that Lido’s short book is in good order through active management and reporting
• Working closely with the Trading and Options teams, Risk, Compliance, Client Services to monitor key risk indicators, review and address trade-related issues, managing and addressing firm-wide margin calls, and ensure margin documentation has been completed accurately and timely
• Ensuring that margin rebates happen as expected
• Developing and documenting general framework including key processes, procedures and reporting including bespoke circumstances and client needs
• Identifying and driving process improvement and automation opportunities
• Leading and participating in team meetings, special projects and initiatives 

Requirements

• Bachelors in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field 
• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis and investment management
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of margin programs, Reg T, and requirements at custodians
• Prior experience or exposure to Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) and Tax Managed Programs
• Prior experience with options, trading, collateral management and financial analysis/reporting highly desired
• Prior experience with Salesforce desired (but not required)
• Strong communication and presentation skills, attention to details, and ability to translate complex ideas and processes into simple and meaningful solutions and answers
