How you will make history here...

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Labor Coordinator to oversee critical workforce management activities in our 24/7 production environment. This position is responsible for accurately managing employee timekeeping, payroll coding, vacation and leave scheduling, and day-to-day staffing coordination. In addition, the Labor Coordinator will coordinate on-the-floor training sessions and compliance training schedules to ensure all employees remain current with required skills, certifications, and safety standards.

The Labor Coordinator will partner closely with operations, HR, and leadership teams to ensure labor resources are aligned with production schedules, minimize disruptions, and support employee work-life balance. Key aspects of this role include maintaining accurate and timely payroll records, proactively monitoring staffing levels, coordinating shift coverage, scheduling training, and assisting with reporting or analysis to inform labor decisions.

The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. By ensuring effective workforce and training management, the Labor Coordinator plays a vital role in driving operational efficiency, supporting compliance, and enhancing the overall employee experience.

What you will do...

Payroll Coding & Reconciliation (25%)

• Accurately code employee hours in the Workforce Management System according to job performed and product.

• Track and report employees performing lower-rated jobs or calling off for correct weekend pay adjustments.

• Submit payroll adjustments to the payroll department on a weekly basis.

Vacation Scheduling (15%)

• Manage and maintain vacation schedules for all production departments, ensuring proper coverage.

Timekeeping Oversight (15%)

• Review and verify daily Workforce Management System reports, including absenteeism, missed punches, short lunches, unapproved time, and overtime.

• Ensure accurate time tracking for payroll processing and attendance compliance.

Production & Staffing Coordination (15%)

• Communicate daily with production leaders to assess and address staffing needs.

• Analyze production schedules and staffing tables to identify personnel requirements.

Reporting & Administrative Support (10%)

• Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports for department managers.

• Develop organized filing systems for staffing-related documentation.

• Generate production reports, memos, and data summaries as requested.

• Issue attendance infractions reports

Training & Overtime Support (10%)

• Assist with Alchemy training coordination and associate overtime tracking.

• Support shift leads with training initiatives and overtime allocation.

• Collaborate with the Training Team to maintain and update skill matrix tracking.

Safety Participation (5%)

• Conduct safety audits and actively participate in safety initiatives (e.g., BBS observations, safety team involvement).

Other Duties (5%)

• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall plant operations.

• Operates with minimal supervision while ensuring accurate employee timekeeping and payroll.

• Coordinates closely with HR on vacation scheduling and leave tracking.<
