The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Coordinator provides oversight for the development, direction and coordination of all
continuing medical education activities of the Ophthalmology Department, including development, planning, implementation and
administration of continuing medical education conferences, programs, workshops, seminars, and courses including cadaver
dissections and video CME.
The incumbent will integrate education programs for the general and specialty needs of medical staff, fellows, residents and staff
within the Department.
S/He communicates with other offices and committees to develop educational activities and serves as liaison for the design of
continuing medical education and professional development activities to achieve Departmental and institutional goals.
The incumbent works with the UCLA Alumni Association to manage UCLA Radiology resident, fellow and faculty alumni with the
intent to send information on the Department, invite to events where appropriate and facilitate gifts/endowments from that
population.

Required
Demonstrated skill in designing and implementing databases for administrative data.
Excellent knowledge of policies and procedures, as well as thorough understanding of the University system, its services and procedures.
Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively and diplomatically interact
with individuals of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds and at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated skill in maintaining a courteous and calm demeanor and professional appearance in a continuously changing environment with frequent interruptions and distractions.
Responsible, reliable, detail-oriented, able to drive a project, and able to work both independently and in a team.
Ability to problem solve independently.
Ability to build confidence, trust and mutual respect with stakeholders across the UCLA Health enterprise.
Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential material while protecting its strict confidentiality.
Extensive experience and solid working knowledge of Wind
