The Americas Fixed Income Portfolio Analytics Lead will engage with our Investment Departments across the Portfolio Management Group (PMG) and Blackrock Global Market (BGM) to understand their analytical and technological needs from a fixed income perspective. The role involves building a deep understanding of the investment process, modelling requirements and the ability to deliver advanced applied analytical solutions. This candidate will oversee a cohesive strategy to continually evolve the agenda of PAG (Portfolio Analytics Group) to deliver high-impact solutions and, the delivery of proprietary python applications that complement core Aladdin tools.

Business Unit Overview:

Join a diverse and collaborative team of technologists in the Portfolio Analytics Group who are responsible for the research and development of applied solution produced for BlackRock. This group is part of the Aladdin Financial Engineering (AFE) division which contributes more generally to the infrastructure platform, production of analytics, and the delivery of content to portfolio and risk management professionals (both within and outside BlackRock). Given the diversity of business objectives within BlackRock and across the external Aladdin client community, the models developed and supported by AFE span a wide array of financial products (equities, fixed income, commodities, derivatives, and private markets).

Strong candidates will bring a leadership voice, grounded in their broad-based experience across analytics and modelling. You will be leading a team of 3 individuals and take accountability and ownership of the solutions the team delivered for the region. You will also work with senior stakeholders on developing a dynamic feedback loop, identifying new opportunities, and guiding analytical/technological roadmap in the applied space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong working relationships across AFE , PMG and BGM to deliver advanced solutions from a modelling and analytical perspective

  • Identify opportunities with stakeholders for the execution of new ideas, tools, and platforms.

  • Set strategy, stakeholder engagement, partner management, and team organization to deliver the highest ROI

  • Provide thought leadership on advances in Data Science, AI and modelling techniques

  • Ensure successful, high-impact delivery of advanced python script aligned to the regional strategies of the Investment Departments

  • Serve as a senior, credible representative of PAG who manages relationships with senior stakeholders

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience working with financial modeling techniques and the use of technology to deliver analytical solutions

  • Proven success in orchestrating cross functional, technical projects

  • Proficiency working with both technical developers and financial modelers, as well as portfolio management

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders

  • Have a proven experience and ability to train others in coding and modelling

  • Strong knowledge and high coding standard in python


 

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$215,000.00 - USD$275,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
