Long Term Evolution Software Engineer

Sensormatic Electronics, LLC seeks Long Term Evolution Software Engineer at its facility located at 1919 S Bascom Ave, Ste 600, Campbell, California 95008.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Work with the general technical support teams, Android software engineering team, and cellular modem vendors to troubleshoot and improve the cellular radio function and connectivity in security panels. Troubleshoot escalations for 4G/LTE cellular connectivity issues require reading through the Android operating system logs. Sift through logs to identify key events and messages relating to the 4G/LTE cellular modem and produce a cohesive explanation for a specific issue. Collect extremely detailed logs using the Qualcomm eXtensible Diagnostic Monitoring (QXDM) software tool. Make recommendations to the Android software development team to prevent some issues from recurring. Act as a technical lead for carrier certification. Analyze logs and failures presented by accredited test labs who perform these certifications and make a recommendation to resolve the issue, either to the test labs or to internal software teams. Telecommuting: Hybrid, up to 4 days per week allowed.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience as a Cellular Certification Engineer, Field Test Engineer, or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Utilizing Qualcom Modem tool set (QXDM, QCAT, or Wireshark); (2) Analyzing Qualcomm QXDM traces; (3) Utilizing LTE protocols; (4) Utilizing Spirent tools for cellular testing; and (5) Testing procedures for cellular devices.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, plus one (1) year of experience as a Cellular Certification Engineer, Field Test Engineer, or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Utilizing Qualcom Modem tool set (QXDM, QCAT, or Wireshark); (2) Analyzing Qualcomm QXDM traces; (3) Utilizing LTE protocols; (4) Utilizing Spirent tools for cellular testing; and (5) Testing procedures for cellular devices.

RATE OF PAY: $ 156,624.00 -$156,624.00 per year
