• Group provides patients a full range of services across 29 different specialties
• All clinics have a lead RN, triage RN, LVNs and 1:1 Provider/MA ratio plus operations team
• Integrated EMR system allows for seamless communication among group PCP's & specialists
• Group has 200+ primary care providers throughout the county; built in referral system

Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns is Southern California’s only standalone women’s hospital. SMB is part of Sharp HealthCare, is a 206 bed, not for profit hospital delivering more babies than any other hospital in California.  Position Details:

• Large OBGYN department, close to 40 providers
• Group has 19 clinics in San Diego with 7 sites offering both OB and GYN services
• Looking to add a dedicated General OBGYN to our team
• Average work week is 60% office based | 40% inpatient based
  • Day call is 12 hours, equally divided amongst the providers - 7am-7pm
• Covering 1 hospital: Sharp Mary Birch
  • Full specialty back up including 24 hour perinatal and GYN/ONC service with dedicated OB anesthesia
  • On-site overnight room for provider
  • Hospital delivers ~9,000 babies per year, highest volume in the state of California!
  • Group delivers ~4,000 babies per year
  • Southern California’s largest Level III NICU, plus advanced care for women experiencing high-risk pregnancy
• Group has block time for surgeries with 2 robots at SMB

Requirements: 

• Comfortable covering a busy L&D
• Must be able to receive privileges for basic laparoscopy including management of ectopic pregnancies (must have completed 10 cases within the last 2 years to qualify)
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible to be considered
