Job Mission

HMI business unit of ASML is a market leader in a fast-growing e-beam inspection and metrology segment of semiconductor equipment.  Would you like to join us and be part of the latest and most advanced e-beam equipment development?  We are looking for an experienced and accountable Project Cluster Manager (PCM) to be responsible for engineering and technical disciplines for a cluster of specific functions of the e-beam tool development.  As a member of the design and engineering (D&E) community, you lead a team of highly skilled project leaders (PLs) tasked to schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical project activities from conception to completion, and be responsible for several key deliverables of hardware and software to the e-beam products. 

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Job Description

  • Lead and work with PLs in the project clusters to prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects related to the e-beam Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) development, and be responsible for the project cluster’s deliverables.

  • Work with architects to define the project cluster scope and required budget, assess and address technical risks, and work with the group leads of different competence teams to properly staff the project cluster.

  • Establish a solid baseline plan on clusters’ deliverables and adapt to changes either to scope, timing and resources and feedback the impact to stakeholders

  • Set up and manage a project cluster structure that reflects the work content

  • Regularly align with cross project clusters and cross-sectors to secure alignment and agreements, ensure on time deliverables and adherence to ASML means and methods

  • Represent the project clusters product team and program

  • Perform annual planning for the next year regarding cluster’s budget and resources, and align with product development managers and system engineering for the cluster’s deliverables and timing

  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance et al.) and report regularly on project cluster status

  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with program management and other project cluster participants to provide assistance and technical support

  • Proactively manage risks and internal or external customer requirements

  • Respond to requests for changes with impact assessment and secure program agreements before accepting changes

  • Proactively review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions if needed.

  • Coach PLs the ASML way of working (WoW) and processes.

Education

  • Master’s degree or above in engineering or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant, technical project management work experience

  • Demonstrated experience with new product introduction in semiconductor equipment industry

  • Experienced in leading complex hardware development projects

  • Experienced in managing suppliers

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required

  • Excellent presentation skills
