About the job

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Production Assistant to support our production team in the development and execution of fashion collections. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality control across all stages of production.

Requirements

General responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of collection files / tech packs for each product in the collection.

• Coordinate product sampling: placing sample requests, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery.

• Support in price alignment, lead time validation, and MOQ negotiations with suppliers.

• Assist with the placement of purchase orders and perform regular follow-ups to ensure production timelines are met.

• Purchase raw materials and trims for production.

• Maintain clear and efficient communication with suppliers and internal teams 

• Schedule and manage transport bookings and assist with customs clearance processes.

• Conduct factory visits for quality control checks, ensuring products meet brand standards and resolving any production issues on site.

• Keep internal systems and databases updated with accurate product and supplier information.

• Help ensure production goals, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are consistently achieved.

Profile

• You have a Bachelor in production, product development, design or equivalent

• You are meticulously organized and have great communication skills.

• You are able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• You are willing to travel occasionally for factory visits and quality control inspections.

• You have an extraordinary eye for details and a solution-oriented mindset.

• You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools.

• You are fluent in English and Portuguese.

Extra

• You will be based in our office in Guimaraes, Portugal, close to our suppliers and travel occasionally to our headquarters in Belgium.
