POSITION OVERVIEW

Radiology Partners, Indiana (RP IN NIR) is a 35 member sub-specialized, diversified, state of the art private radiology practice located in Lafayette, Indiana, just 2 hours outside the Chicago area. We serve Franciscan Health, the second largest health care delivery system in Indiana in 7 hospitals and multiple outpatient imaging centers, in a Tort Reform state.

Radiology Partners Indiana – NIR is seeking a Radiology Physician Assistant, with CBRPA and ARRT certification, who will assist the attending Radiologist team in the management of patients for both the Franciscan Health hospital and practice in Crown Point, Indiana. Responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for quality assessment and improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations, and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with Radiology Partners goals. 

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Schedule | Monday – Friday | 7am – 4:30pm CST

Perform or assist with the following procedures:

  • Fluoroscopy procedures
  • PICC Lines
  • Paracentesis/thoracentesis
  • Lumbar Punctures
  • FNA Bx
  • Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose, and treat illnesses and/or injuries
  • Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes
  • Perform history and physical examinations of Interventional Radiology patients
  • Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients
  • Educate patients on their medical care
  • Other duties as assigned


DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Licensed as a Radiology Physician Assistant in the state of Indiana
  • Graduate AMA accredited program
  • Certification Board for Radiology Practitioner Assistants (CBRPA) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification REQUIRED
  • Critical Care
