Depending on the selected applicant's location, this position can be filled in Juneau, Anchorage, or Fairbanks. Salary information is listed below:

Anchorage: $4,079.25 - $4,372.50 Biweekly

Fairbanks: $4,201.50 - $4,503.75 Biweekly
Juneau: $4,283.25 - $4,591.50 Biweekly

What you will be doing:
As a member of our Bridge Section team, you'll collaborate closely with our Bridge Management Engineer to ensure compliance with federal requirements for bridge inspection, load ratings, commercial vehicle permits, and asset management. As a Technical Engineer, you will become a statewide authority in bridge analysis, load ratings, inspection methodologies, and management strategies. At the Technical Engineer 1 level, you'll work alongside our Bridge Management Engineer to set standards, establish priorities, and resolve challenges in load rating and inspection practices. Progressing to the Technical Engineer 2 level, you will be the foremost expert in bridge analysis, load ratings, inspection techniques, and management protocols across the state.
