Rate: $19.00/HR

Available Schedule: Mon & Tues: 12PM - 8:15PM

What Your Day May Look Like:

• Conduct internal foot patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear. 
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and logs for site; writes and/or types reports and/or enters information in a computer using standard grammar, inspects security control logs and takes action as required. 
• Monitors customers, provides guidance as needed and assists Asset Protection with information gathering. 
• Provides an atmosphere in which all customers and client employees know that the client cares about their needs. 
• Present a good image to the client, employees, and customers. 
• Monitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry. 
• Operates in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disturbance to leave the property. 
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others. 
• Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site. 
• Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards. 
• Carries out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Position Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older. 
• High School Diploma or GED Required. 
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift. 
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience a plus. 
• Must have Day / Swing Shift availability. 
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. 
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus. 
• Intermediate computer / technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports, logs via handheld devices, and computers, camera monitoring, and reporting alarms. 
• Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist customers, vendors, drivers, general public, co-workers, Asset Protection, and Office Management. 
• Must be able to conduct internal foot patrol, and stand on your feet for long periods of time to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked entrances/exits, mechanical issues, and unauthorized persons on premises. 
• Must be comfortable with access control, and turning away public / visitors that are not permitted on site. 
• Must be able to respond to emergencies, with rapid and effective judgement, and use appropriate escalation and force if required.
