This is a high profile opportunity to lead complex F/W designs for Qorvo’s Battery Management Team for HEV, EV, E-bike applications targeting the world's leading automotive OEM and Tier-1 customers.

 

Primary and Secondary Responsibilities:

• Analyze and breakdown complex assignment into smaller, measurable tasks
• Interface with customers on custom spins
• Develop catalog and custom firmware for various gas gauge and other embedded devices
• Participate in project and resource planning
• Support occasional customer visits and trainings
• Collaborate with distributor and contractor engineers to deliver outsourced products

• Make and meet challenging commitments with sparsely defined specifications from customers
• Successfully take on and complete new development that requires self-learning of new technologies

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• 12+ years of embedded software/firmware systems development experience
• Able to read schematics or have done some analog or power circuit design projects
• Working knowledge of 8, 16 or 32 bit microcontroller architecture
• Expert C/C++ programmer with strong understanding of code generation, compilers and optimization
• General understanding of assembly language
• Worked with small RTOS or micro-kernel; multithreaded programming environment
• Experience working with version control and defect tracking
• Python or GUI development experience
• Experience in writing technical documents
• C coding, bare metal FreeRTOS
• Board bringup, oscilloscope, power supplies, high voltage, Bootloaders
• Ability to estimate effort on-time

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Device driver experience (PC or embedded)
• Experience in working with Smart Battery applications
• Tcl/Tk, Perl, Python or other scripting languages
• PCB design/layout knowledge a plus
• Battery power systems strongly preferred
• Experience in firmware quality process and safety systems
• Resource constrained systems (low memory)
• Real-time data acquisition and control
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
