This is a high profile opportunity to lead complex F/W designs for Qorvo’s Battery Management Team for HEV, EV, E-bike applications targeting the world's leading automotive OEM and Tier-1 customers.
Primary and Secondary Responsibilities:
- Analyze and breakdown complex assignment into smaller, measurable tasks
- Interface with customers on custom spins
- Develop catalog and custom firmware for various gas gauge and other embedded devices
- Participate in project and resource planning
- Support occasional customer visits and trainings
- Collaborate with distributor and contractor engineers to deliver outsourced products
Complex Tasks:
- Make and meet challenging commitments with sparsely defined specifications from customers
- Successfully take on and complete new development that requires self-learning of new technologies

Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 12+ years of embedded software/firmware systems development experience
- Able to read schematics or have done some analog or power circuit design projects
- Working knowledge of 8, 16 or 32 bit microcontroller architecture
- Expert C/C++ programmer with strong understanding of code generation, compilers and optimization
- General understanding of assembly language
- Worked with small RTOS or micro-kernel; multithreaded programming environment
- Experience working with version control and defect tracking
- Python or GUI development experience
- Experience in writing technical documents
- C coding, bare metal FreeRTOS
- Board bringup, oscilloscope, power supplies, high voltage, Bootloaders
- Ability to estimate effort on-time
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Device driver experience (PC or embedded)
- Experience in working with Smart Battery applications
- Tcl/Tk, Perl, Python or other scripting languages
- PCB design/layout knowledge a plus
- Battery power systems strongly preferred
- Experience in firmware quality process and safety systems
- Resource constrained systems (low memory)
- Real-time data acquisition and control
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
