<h2><span><b>Introduction to the job</b></span></h2><p><span>Would you like to work in a multidisciplinary team, working on cutting edge technology, providing innovative wafer fab solutions to our customer’s challenges? As an engineer in the D&amp;E Applications department, you contribute to the improvement of on-product performance by lithography tuning and control solutions to increase our customer’s yield and profitability. </span></p><h2></h2><h2><span><b>Role and responsibilities</b></span></h2><p><span>As a (senior)design engineer in the Patterning Product Engineering group, you are responsible for designing and verifying solutions that improve the </span><span>critical dimension (CD) </span><span>uniformity across wafers. You will work in a multidisciplinary team and have regular interaction with other teams and our customers.</span></p><p></p><p><span>You will support these development teams by providing overviews with technical dependencies, by addressing customer feedback, and by identifying and reducing risks and verifying final product performance including proof book data collection. You are responsible for creating and refining ASML’s application products that will improve the on-product performance of our customers. You will do this in close collaboration with the customer and connected to the introduction of a new technology node in production of the customer. </span></p><p><span>Your proposals for application product improvement can cover a wide variety of solutions concerning root cause analysis, choices in process control strategies, metrology mark choice and design and process optimization. The findings will also be used for improvements in the scanner modules.</span></p><p></p><p><span>In this job you will:</span></p><ul><li><span>Participate actively in identifying future product features and new application product development</span></li><li><span>Be responsible for designing and prototyping models in Matlab or Julia.</span></li><li><span>Analyze data coming from our customers</span></li><li><span>Deliver validated product improvement proposals that can be implemented by software engineers.</span></li><li><span>You will need to combine your creative problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to develop and integrate innovative control solutions and to resolve disturbances quickly and if needed to come up with mitigation solutions to ensure program continuation.</span></li></ul><p></p><h2><span><b>Education and experience</b></span></h2><p><span>As (senior) on-product performance engineer, you’ll need:</span></p><ul><li><span>Master's degree or PHD in Physics, Mathematics or Engineering (Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, Chemical), with a solid background in statistics, data analysis, optics, semiconductor process technology or semiconductor device physics.</span></li><li><span>We are looking for people with 0-5 years of experience in an industrial research, development, or process control organization.</span></li></ul><p></p><h2><span><b>Skills</b></span></h2><ul><li><span>Acting decisive and generate solutions</span></li><li><span>Learn fast</span></li><li><span>Communicate pro-actively</span></li><li><span>Broad thinker</span></li><li><span>Taking responsibility</span></li><li><span>Acting result-driven with strong customer focus</span></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><h2><b>Diversity and inclusion</b></h2><p>ASML is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values and respects the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
