Revenue Cycle: Accounts Receivable, Billing, Coding, Payment posting

Job Description:

• We are seeking a talented individual to join the team as a Medical Billing Specialist working on site who provides administrative and billing support in the Revenue Cycle process working with patients, insurance companies, prescribers, labs, and pharmacies regarding services provided by Southwest Spine and Pain.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Use HCPCS/CPT and diagnosis codes to produce and submit claims to patients and insurance companies
· Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid
· Obtain missing claim information
· Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims
· Identify and bill secondary insurances
· Check each insurance payment explanation for accuracy and compliance with allowed contract rate
· Phone communication with patient regarding account or billing questions
· Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness
· Seek collections on unpaid accounts
· Process medical records requests
· Up to date knowledge of insurance guidelines especially Medicare and Medicaid

Qualifications:
· Billing and Medical experience preferred
· 1-year EHR knowledge/experience preferred
· Successfully pass drug screen/background check
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Stable work history and transportation
· Basic computer and keyboarding skills are required; Microsoft Office suite is a plus

Education:
· Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent required
