What we do:
The International Policy and Strategy function (IPS) in the Markets Group is responsible for developing and executing on an international analytical and engagement framework to inform and facilitate the execution of the Bank's international responsibilities, and to build institutional relationships consistent with evolving global financial, economic and transformational trends.
The International Relations and Country Risk Department in the International Policy and Strategy function is responsible for:
Monitoring and analyzing country developments and regional/global trends in support of the Bank's international operational and policy activities and external engagement;
Developing and deepening relationships with global central banks and governments, US government entities and private sector institutions, including planning, coordinating and executing external engagements and hosting international visitors to the Bank;
Coordinating across groups to ensure that insights gained from international engagements are effectively disseminated within the Bank to inform analysis and assessments;
Facilitating standing and ad-hoc cross-Bank teams to promote information sharing and analytical collaboration on international work.
Your role as International Relations Associate:
Develop international engagement strategies and trip itineraries for traveling senior Bank officers, driving overall planning and collaboration with partners across the Bank, conducting outreach, managing logistics and providing support for internal and external stakeholders;
Evaluate visit requests from foreign central banks and other international organizations and develop appropriate meeting programs in alignment with the Bank’s strategic priorities;
Develop new and maintain existing relationships with key public and private sector contacts in portfolio countries and the NY representatives of foreign central banks and official institutions;
Represent the Bank and engage with international and US government contacts in meetings at the Bank, special events and trips abroad;
Contribute to global country risk analysis, including monitoring country and regional news flow and developments;
What we are looking for:
Experience in roles that require diplomacy, relationship building and project management skills;
Interest and experience in international economic or financial issues as evidenced by academic study, professional experience, or research;
Ability to obtain US Security Clearance that includes verification of US citizenship;
An understanding of the role of the Federal Reserve in the financial system and the global economy;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to engage with key internal and external stakeholders at various levels;
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure and assist in the execution of multiple projects simultaneously;
Demonstrated ability to both work independently with limited supervision and participate in team projects where collaboration is essential for success;
Experience utilizing SharePoint and customer relationship management systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce) preferred.

Salary Range: $$116900 – $162500 / year
