Overall Purpose

The Senior Business Insights Analyst leads analytical efforts, collaborating with the Early Warning functional areas, to analyze product usage, understand customer behaviors, and identify & size new business opportunities. The analyst will bring together data and insights to support & inform product roadmap & marketing plans.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as consultant to line of business.

  • Translate business requirements into high-level functional specifications in support of business intelligence initiatives.

  • Leads cross-functional projects end to end.

  • Mentors others & shares expertise across team.

  • Analyze large, complex data sets to address strategic and operational business questions.

  • Distill and communicate key insights across all levels of the organization.

  • Develop frameworks, models, tools, and processes to institutionalize findings.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement in processes and services.

  • Undertake and complete a variety of complex data analysis initiatives requiring specialist knowledge and/or integration of information.

  • Interpret and analyze data from multiple sources, providing key analytics and reports.

  • Provide actionable recommendations based on analysis results across various stakeholders and teams.

  • Support the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Qualifications

  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, finance or other related field

  • Minimum 5 years of direct/ related experience is required.

  • Demonstrated success in a related business intelligence role

  • Expert understanding of visual display of quantitative information concepts and best practices

  • Proven knowledge of multiple business intelligence tools (Examples: SAS/SQL/ R, Visual Basic, Python, SQL SSRS, Tableau or other data visualization tool).

  • Strong analytical skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions

  • Proficient PC skills including advanced competency in PowerPoint

  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with ability to tailor to varying audiences and confidence and poise to present at all levels effectively

  • Ability to translate business & functional requirements into specifications for different audiences

  • Highly engaged, self-starter with ability to balance achieving results and fostering collaboration

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and orchestrating data acquisition improvement

  • Background and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications for Decision Intelligence

  • Analysis experience focused on B2B products & business models

  • Experience with API platform-based product delivery

  • Experience in financial services, banking and/or fintech

  • Master’s degree in data analytics, or related education

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment.  Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours.  Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching.  Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently.  Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers.  Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
