POSITION SPECIFICS
The Smeal College of Business is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Admissions Officer to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing and managing recruitment strategies that align with the college and university's strategic goals. The Admissions Officer will also organize campus events and outreach activities to encourage high school students to apply and connect with admitted students. Key Responsibilities:
Report Preparation and Analysis: Prepare and analyze reports on admissions activities. Experience with data analytics is a plus.
Communication: Engage daily with prospective students, families, and stakeholders through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Content Management: Collaborate with the marketing team to manage content updates on the website and print materials.
Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate Accepted Student Events and other recruitment events, which are expected to increase in number and capacity in the coming years.
Relationship Building: Foster relationships with school counselors in the service area and advise them on Penn State policies, processes, and procedures.
Event Support: Provide support during events, including coordinating building tours, escorting students and families, and ensuring tables are appropriately staffed.
Internal Communication: Maintain extensive communication with various university entities, including academic departments, marketing and strategic communications, and Penn State Admissions.
Inquiry Management: Serve as a contact for inquiries related to new admissions processes and represent the college at admissions conferences and other events.
Student Support: Advise and counsel prospective and current students on university programs, processes, and eligibility requirements for admission.
