The Senior Internal Auditor - Performs various level professional internal auditing work. Work involves leading or conducting performance, financial and compliance audit projects; providing consulting services to the organization’s management and staff; and providing key input to development of the Annual Audit Plan. Maintains all organizational and professional ethical standards. Works independently under general supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Your Impact
- Conducts internal financial and/or system audits and risk assessments
- May test and document financial and computer system records for information system integrity and transaction accuracy
- Reports discrepancies
- Prepares audit plans and understands the specific issues to be evaluated
- Executes internal audits within established business process controls
- Leads Staff Auditors on audit engagements
- Develops formal written reports to communicate audit results to management and regulatory compliance agencies, if applicable and makes recommendations as appropriate
- May facilitate work of external auditors during on-site visits
- May require audit knowledge and skills in finance/accounting and/or information system operations
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Preferred
- MBA
- Experience in the medical industry
- CPA, CIA or CISA
