The theatre is open 365 days a year with holidays being some of our busiest times. While we work with everyone to make sure they have time with their families, we also must make sure the theatre is staffed.
JOB OVERVIEW
As a Kitchen Lead, you assist the Cook in prepping the meals for the guests, as well as lead employees assigned to the kitchen.
Hours: This is a part-time hourly position and will average less than 30 hours a week; working nights, weekends and holidays is a requirement, hours may vary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
▪ Assists the kitchen management in the preparation, serving, and cooking of all food
▪ Assists with managing and logging all incoming and outgoing food. 
▪ Ensures all incoming food is correctly stored in appropriate location (pantry, freezer, walk-in) and maintains continuous inventory of food and supplies.
▪ Reports shortages to the Kitchen Manager, General Manager and/or Kitchen Manager.
▪ Ensures all food is kept within date and fresh.
▪ Ensures quality and presentation of every meal that is served to Guests.
▪ Maintains cleanliness in the kitchen work area, food preparation area, refrigerator, walk-in, freezer, and pantry.
▪ Ensures all kitchen equipment is operating properly and is used properly to ensure safety in the kitchen.
▪ Reports any problems to General Manager and/or Kitchen Manager for appropriate action.
▪ Leads all individuals assigned to the kitchen.
▪ Provides a positive work environment
▪ Serves as a role model to staff by actions, appearance, manners, language, and general conduct.
▪ Washes dishes and maintains a general upkeep of dish pit area. 
▪ Ensures the use of cut gloves when handling knives.
▪ Operate kitchen equipment.
▪ Manage tasks and meet time schedules.
▪ Work closely with Kitchen Manager and General Manager and other management staff. 
▪ Maintain proper sanitation regulations and food handling guidelines.
▪ Cleaning. The kitchen must be kept immaculate.
▪ Completing any other duties as delegated or directed by your supervisor.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
▪ Must be 18 years of age at the time of hire.
▪ Work and communicate effectively with others.
▪ Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation supervisory positions.
▪ Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation.
▪ Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes.
▪ Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
▪ Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.
▪ Must have the availability to open and/or close regularly.
▪ Must be able to work special events and holidays, as needed.
▪ Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly to fulfill job responsibilities.
▪ Must be willing to obtain R-Serving (for candidates 21+), Food Handler, and/or Food Manager certifications in accordance with state, county, and location-specific requirements.  Religious exemptions are available upon request with written documentation for liquor liability certification.  All required certifications will be paid for by the company.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands include but are not limited to:
• The employee will be required to stand – up to 4 hours at a time; walk, sit, use hands, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities will be made, both short term or permanent.
• Frequently move, stock, and transport boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. 
• Mental stamina to make it through stressful and busy times. 
• Ability to work in high temperature/ low temperature environments, as in work around hot fryers, grills, and flattops, and grabbing stock or putting away stock in the freezer.
