The purpose of this role to is to execute the day-to-day operational activities required to maintain secure, stable and efficient Client Infrastructure services. The role provides technical expertise, resolving escalated issues and providing delivery support for projects.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to join our Global Client Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in remote desktop and application delivery platforms, particularly Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and Azure Virtual Desktop. You will evolve our global Remote Application Delivery strategy, enhance both Citrix SaaS and Azure Virtual Desktop environments to meet diverse needs, Lead the migration of centrally managed RDS solutions into the AVD platform and provide daily operational support (BAU).

This is a remote position reporting to EUC Remote Application Manager.

Responsibilities:

• You will manage the delivery of Remote Application Delivery from our Client Infrastructure Team within a Service Management framework
• You will manage the resolution of major incidents and any escalated issues for Remote Application Delivery
• You will contribute to the delivery of technological change across Client Infrastructure
• To be the technical authority for Remote Application Delivery
• You will oversee the security, resilience, and monitoring of the dentsu Remote Application Delivery environment
• You will represent our Client Infrastructure team in Change Advisory Board meetings, Service Review meetings and the Architecture Review Board

• You will ensure the Remote Application Delivery environments are designed, implemented, and maintained to the correct architectural and technical best practice specifications
• You will be a partner in determining whether a new release, affecting service in production is ready for promotion
• You will contribute to our Client Infrastructure strategy and service/product roadmap
• You will maintain a product backlog and assist the Head of Client Infrastructure to prioritize new releases and requests to customers
• You will support the Global Remote Application platform
• You will maintain availability of the AVD environment ensuring that stability and reliability are maintained

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• AZ-104 or AZ-140 certified or equivalent qualifications and experience
• Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp Support experience is desirable
• Citrix Cloud Experience or knowledge is desirable
• NetScaler and RDS Web experience
• Nerdio experience is desirable
• Intune experience is desirable
• Microsoft RDS / RemoteApp knowledge or experience (for migration purposes)
• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Knowledge/working experience
• Azure Experience is essential (AVD, virtual hosts, Resource groups, NSG management, Image Gallery, FS Logix etc)
• Active Directory and Group Policy management experience concerning the role
• Experienced in IT service management, including change, incident, and problem management

• Experience working with ITIL based Service processes and functions
• 3+ years of experience of implementing technical solutions in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
• Experience working with enterprise-scale applications, infrastructure, and software
• Experience writing technical documentation, including high/low designs and operational manuals
• Experience managing a set of complex operational services
• Experience working in an Agile environment to provide service improvement

The annual salary range for this position is $78,000-$126,500. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
