Summary:  Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Promotes an environment where doing things safely is the highest priority.
• Ensures all employees fulfill their HSE responsibilities and sets the example for the team to follow.
• Actively participates in workplace and behavioral observations.
• Provides health and safety training to the team, ensuring the understanding of how to safely perform each task.
• Lead accident/incident reviews and develop corrective actions.
• Constantly monitor environmental, health and safety performance to ensure continual improvement.
• Identify hazards in the workplace to eliminate or reduce risks as far as possible.

 

Job Requirements:

• Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Fabrication Manager for action.
• Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
• Responsible for compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.

• Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English.
• Must read and understand all work and safety instructions relevant to their area of responsibility.
• Must read and understand quality system operating procedures relevant to DMR, corrective action and preventive action.

 

Education and Work Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is a plus
