What You Will Be Doing: 

  • Operate, perform repair and preventive maintenance on the Pneumatic Tube system.
  • Regular monitoring of the system for performance and failure recognition.
  • Communicate issues/information and scheduled shutdowns with stake holders.
  • Provide support and service to devices at multiple locations on the system.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield.
  • Identify and properly report through the work order system all potential and existing problems encountered.
  • May track and distribute equipment throughout the hospitals.

What You Will Need: 

  • A High School Diploma or GED required.
  • working knowledge of electricity and is able to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
  • The ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
  • A current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques, inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with basic hand and machine tools, soldering, designated preventive maintenance and other test equipment.
