Accounting Manager

We are looking for a highly qualified and technically proficient Accounting Manager for our Finance team. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Accounting department, including supervision of Staff Accountants and the preparation and analysis of financial statements. This individual must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of The Accounting Manager

• Oversee and manage a team of 3-4 staff accountants
• Act as a mentor and resource for Staff Accountants, providing guidance and support as needed
• Prepare and analyze financial statements including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll and creation of payroll-related general journal entries and maintenance of semi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed

Qualifications Of The Accounting Manager

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a management role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Advertising industry experience a plus

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required
• CPA or MBA is preferred

Total Compensation:        

• Base Salary: $100,000 - $118,200
• Target Annualized Discretionary Bonus: 10% ($10,000 - $11,820)
• Target Total Cash: $110,000 - $130,000
