Engineer - Server Team 

Would you like to support the development of our infrastructure, both centrally and decentralized? And can you make your mark on the architecture, development, and operation of server at Danish Crown? Then you might be our new colleague at our factory in Horsens or at our headquarters in Randers. 
 
You will join the Danish Crown's Global IT organization with more than 230 colleagues distributed in Denmark, Poland, Sweden, the Netherlands, England, Germany, and China. We support more than 6,500 IT users spread over 130 locations. 
 

As our new Engineer, you will be part of our Hosting Services where we handle a variety of IT technical tasks and challenges. We are overall responsible for developing and running our Server Infrastructure and Solutions in the entire Danish Crown Group. Our finest job is to keep the infrastructure on our productions sites working efficiently and reliably. Hence, we have an important role in keeping our business running. Our department consists of skilled and passionate employees who work with SolarWinds, VMWare, databases as well as many other systems and technologies. You will work closely together with 6 other dedicated specialists. 
 

Do you want to be part of the strategic and operational development of our Server Infrastructure?
You will be an important contributor in the development of the Danish Crowns Server infrastructure and its monitoring, and you can expect to participate in the entire process from needs identification and design to implementation and documentation.
 

Your main responsibility will be our monitoring platform SolarWinds. But you’ll also contribute to architecture, development and operation of our VMWare and server platform. Today, these run on Dell hardware.
 

You will also be involved in a wide spectrum of diverse tasks and projects, which include support and upgrading of our existing platform, or design and implementation of completely new solutions. 
 

In addition to the above, your tasks will include maintenance, debug, and upgrade of our VMware and SolarWinds platform as well as monitoring of server infrastructure. Finally, the job includes a 24/7 shift arrangement, which is shared with the other 3 team members.
 

The location of the job is either in Horsens, which hosts our largest production site or alternatively in our headquarters in Randers. This depends on your preference compared to home distance. You should however expect to visit the opposite site on a weekly basis. 
 

Experience with SolarWinds and VMWare operation and a curiosity for knowledge
We imagine that you have experience from a similar role in a larger IT environment, where you have worked with VMWare, Windows Servers, and SolarWinds monitoring of these. You will be part of a team where the level of competence is high, and where we spar and share knowledge both within the team and outside. We expect you to be a team player with good communication skills and an eagerness to find the good solutions together with the specialists and business leaders.

The position can either develop you in an even more specialized direction within VMWare, or you could dive into other important technical areas such as surveillance, CCTV, or server operation.
