Role Summary

The Director, Brain Health will play a critical leadership role in shaping and advancing the company’s Brain Health agenda. This individual will be responsible for co-developing strategy in ambiguous, early stage environments; translating insight into compelling marketing and storytelling approaches; collaborating across multiple functions; and driving execution with urgency and rigor. The role requires strong marketing fluency, creative thinking, and the ability to lead both internal teams and external partners. The role reports to the Executive Director, Head of Brain Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic development for Brain Health initiatives, including defining direction and structure in the absence of established templates or playbooks
  • Apply strong marketing expertise to develop positioning, messaging, and activation strategies that resonate across audiences and channels
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional partners (e.g., Corporate Affairs, Commercial, Communications, Policy, Patient Experience) to align priorities and drive integrated execution
  • Identify, engage, and oversee external vendors, agencies, and consultants, ensuring high quality deliverables and effective use of resources
  • Translate strategy into executable plans, managing multiple workstreams, timelines, and dependencies
  • Drive initiatives forward with a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership
  • Contribute creative thinking to enterprise initiatives while ensuring practical, high impact execution
  • Support Brain Health efforts with appropriate domain understanding; prior neuroscience or brain health experience is a plus but not required
  • Leverages the latest technology i.e. AI to implement adaptable and efficient approaches to activate our brain health efforts
  • Own program management and budgetary responsibility for Brain Health initiatives, including financial planning, vendor spend oversight, and delivery against scope, timeline, and outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years minimum of relevant experience
  • Significant experience at the director level (or equivalent) in marketing, strategy, corporate affairs, or a related field
  • Strong marketing fluency required, including experience with positioning, messaging, storytelling, and integrated activation
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving environments
  • Proven success leading through influence in a highly matrixed organization
  • Experience managing external vendors and agency partners
  • Strong execution mindset and project management experience with the ability to move initiatives from concept to delivery
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
