About the role

Description

As a Junior Systems Engineer, you will support engineering activities within NAVAIR's Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program Office (PMA-271). This is an incredible opportunity to gain technical, Navy acquisition experience. 


As the Junior Engineer you will be responsible for performing the following: 

  • Support government engineering duties in the acquisition of tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. 
  • Assist in government activities pertaining to installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. 
  • Assist the engineering development and acquisition of modern complex systems. 
  • Employ systems engineering methods and tools in the acquisition and development of advanced complex systems, and when appropriate, conduct research in applied systems engineering to advance the field. 
  • This position may require flexibility in working hours and some travel

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is required
  • Engineering-related work or internship experience is a plus

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. If no clearance is held, candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Position may require a Top Secret clearance in the future.
