We're looking for a highly motivated Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you'll be the link between our customers and field technicians—coordinating installations, maintenance, and repairs of electric, gas, and steam-powered commercial foodservice and HVAC/R equipment. This isn’t your typical desk job. You'll be juggling calls, solving puzzles, and wearing many hats every day—making real-time decisions that keep our operations running smoothly and our customers satisfied. - Coordinate and Communicate: Interface with customers, dealers, and sales reps to understand service needs and schedule accordingly.
- Create Service Orders: Accurately input job details and service scope into our dispatch software.
- Optimize Technician Workflow: Work hand-in-hand with the service manager and fellow peers to assign and adjust technician schedules based on real-time demands.
- Daily Scheduling: Notify technicians of assignments, monitor workload, technician hours and make adjustments as needed throughout the day.
- Parts Coordination: Work with the Parts Department to ensure required parts are available for timely service delivery.
- Account Management: Create and maintain customer profiles with accurate, up-to-date information.
- Financial Awareness: Understand credit and collections protocols and handle customer interactions appropriately.
- Safety First: Promote and adhere to safe work practices and company safety policies.
- Experience: 3+ years in a dispatch role within the service or repair industry, preferably working with technical field teams.
- Service Orientation: A strong focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and/or HVAC/R systems is a strong plus.
- Organization & Focus: Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving environment with constant changes.
- Problem-Solving: A quick thinker who can troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Team Player: You can work independently, but also collaborate effectively with technicians, managers, and fellow peers across departments.
