Founded in 2021, the Airbus Global Business Services (AGBS) unit will be contributing to Airbus’ global success and play a vital role in Airbus’ transformation journey in  standardisation, harmonisation, digitalisation and automation of end-to-end processes (e.g.Procure to Pay) of all overhead functions. Responsibilities - Your Mission

 

You will act as the technical lead and architect within the Airbus Finance Risk and Compliance support team. Moving beyond simple support, your mission is to own the design, development, and deployment of complex internal control frameworks.

 

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, bridging the gap between intricate IT constraints and critical Business/Compliance mandates. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the solution—from the initial discovery phase with specific Airbus entities to the final go-live of the system controls.

 

Key Deliverables:

• End-to-End Ownership: Lead the integration of new entities into the Risk Framework. This includes autonomous scoping, data discovery, integration strategy, and final deployment.

• Technical Architecture: Design high-performance SQL and HANA solutions, ensuring optimal memory consumption and database stability.

• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate activity between technical teams (IT/Basis) and business stakeholders (Internal Control/Finance) to ensure project timelines are met.

 

Tasks & accountabilities:

 

1. Technical Architecture & Development (HANA/SQL)

• Architect and develop robust internal control frameworks using expert-level SQL and SAP HANA modeling (Calculation Views, Stored Procedures, Flowgraphs).

• Proactively manage database health by optimizing query structures, analyzing execution plans, and strictly monitoring memory consumption to prevent system overloads.

• Review and analyze legacy ABAP code to understand existing logic and re-engineer it into optimized HANA models where necessary.

2. End-to-End Project Delivery

• Take full autonomy for specific Airbus entities: From gathering initial connection parameters and understanding local business flows (P2P, O2C, R2R) to the final deployment of automated controls.

• Define and execute data integration strategies between various source systems (ERP, SAP, Non-SAP) and the Compliance platform.

3. Coordination & Leadership

• Act as the primary bridge between technical teams and Finance/Audit stakeholders.

• Proactively chase requirements, organize workshops, and drive teams to meet delivery deadlines.

• Support external and internal auditors by managing complex data extractions, evidence collection, and defining technical remediation plans.

• Mentor junior team members on SQL best practices and database optimization.
