Job Details:

This position is designed to develop skills in hiring, training, monitoring, and managing the job duties of FSQA hourly personnel. The role involves gaining a thorough understanding of Quality Assurance programs, specifications, labeling, HACCP, and regulatory requirements. The candidate will also learn essential management skills in communication, problem resolution, plant processing, and cross-training in other departments within the facility.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 12:00pm-10:00pm (some weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in hiring, training, and supervising FSQA hourly personnel.
• Understand and implement Quality Assurance programs, specifications, labeling, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop basic management skills in communication, problem resolution, and plant processing.
• Participate in cross-training activities in other facility departments.
• Undertake special projects as assigned by the FSQA manager.
• Utilize computer applications for record management, verification, and statistical process control.
• Ensure food safety, quality, and legality.

Requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as science or agriculture, is preferred.
• Experience: FSQA experience preferred.
• Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office. Additional training will be provided on company-specific systems.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel: Willingness to travel for 3+ trips per six-month period.
• Special Skills: Must be willing to relocate. Initial training will take place at a designated training facility, followed by an assignment as an FSQA Supervisor at a new facility.
