About this role: 

As a Staff Product Designer at Samsara, you will ship designs that our customers use every day to run their operations. We’re looking for someone who is excited to shape the daily experience of those customers across industries such as transportation and logistics, construction, food and beverage, government and more. In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success to identify customer needs, explore design solutions, and deliver value. You will also engage directly with customers and leverage their feedback throughout your process. You will be expected to influence strategy and ship well-crafted designs that make our customers’ operations more efficient, safe, and sustainable.

In this role, you will: 

• Lead design of complex projects through development and launch while driving product area goals. 
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering on strategy, planning, and execution.
• Work directly with customers to understand their needs and validate design solutions.
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• 7+ years experience designing web & mobile applications.
• Expertise in interaction and visual design.
• Figma fluency (including prototyping).
• Portfolio showcasing your craft, ability to solve user-problems, and quantified impact.

An ideal candidate also has:
