PLS Product Pricing Team has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Engineer, Software Engineer (Test Automation Developer) to work on PLS Product pricing components of Guidewire Policy Center application. This is very critical part of pricing functionality that helps to decide the rates for PLS products (Line of business: Property, Auto, Power sports). 

To be successful in this team, you will need experience using test automation programming languages and the software development life cycle in fast paced delivery environment. The candidate will join a high performing team that is passionate and motivated about the customer experience and provide incremental business value. 

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Test Automation development including Ruby/Java Tosca, API testing
  • Must have ‘Automate first’ mindset
  • Able to define test data, build test automation scripts
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in Agile environment, managing multiple test plans and strategies for medium to large project priorities and deliverables proactively
  • Understands automation frameworks and design patterns
  • Able to own the existing automation suite and make required changes to test scripts/modules/applications/frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC
  • Have strong SQL knowledge
  • Experience in DevOps, Agile, cloud concepts and experience working in building pipelines is a plus
  • Provides advice on automation tools/techniques, feasibility and implementation, process improvements as well as maintenance plans
  • Expertise in Devops tools like GitHub, Concourse, Splunk, New relic
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Must be able to clearly articulate and communicate the topics
  • Tosca/Ruby Certifications are preferred
  • Insurance experience and Guidewire policy center certifications are plus
