About the role

Overview

The Senior Data Solution Specialist role is aligned to our Implementation team and will partner will various divisions and levels of leadership within the whole organization.

They will serve as a key liaison between internal customers and project teams, ensuring the successful implementation of both new and recurring projects. Collaborating closely with Product Owners and Technical Architects, they will define project scope, technical direction, and milestones. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements in alignment with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Additionally, the Senior Data Solution Specialist will oversee the tracking of project deliverables and manage issues, changes, and releases to ensure the seamless delivery of desired functionality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing quality assurance testing, validating acceptance criteria, and preparing detailed documentation.
  • Leading product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for stakeholders.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) on the assigned scope while collaborating effectively in cross-functional and matrixed environments.

This role requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to excel independently while ensuring alignment with broader project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Actively working on becoming a company-wide subject matter expert (SME) for all client data file layouts and various enterprise level projects
  • Actively working on becoming a subject matter expert (SME) regarding all software and tools used on team
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and resource for training and internal stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Participate in refinement of existing products, product development process and operational User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.
  • Work closely with Technical Product Owners, Architects, and Engineers to groom business requirements and acceptance criteria consistent with SAFe events.
  • Partner with internal leaders – understand corporate and client objectives and contribute to the identification and prioritization of upcoming initiatives
  • Host and facilitate discussions with Healthcare data carriers to (1) manage data intake, and (2) ensure all client data requirements are discussed and confirmed.
  • Manage projects to ensure delivery expectations are met and proper approvals are obtained for release
  • Perform data quality checks verifying that data provided is consistent with the requirements to build Healthcare Data Warehouse.
  • Write data transformation specifications to load source data into target data warehouse tables.
  • Work to continuously look for process improvement opportunities and provide necessary feedback to the process improvement team. 
  • Analyze client interface requirements, identify gaps and handle all questions related to the client’s specific file layout
  • Identify data requirements to integrate new data sources and perform technical analytics to confirm data integration results meet or exceed defined expectations
  • Contribute to the creation and development of new user interfaces and layouts
  • Review current processes for opportunities to improve effectiveness and reduce risks/costs
  • Evaluate data and provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate technical / analytic information to business partners
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of medical claims data sets
  • Produce accurate and meaningful ad hoc reports from verbal and written requests

 

Other Related Responsibilities  

  • Actively promote and participate in process improvement and adoption of new technologies
  • Conduct detailed claims analysis and ad-hoc reporting as prioritized by management
  • Produce work that reflects a focus on quality in consideration of the client's (internal and external) needs
  • Produce, validate and deliver regularly scheduled reports on a timely basis
  • Identify all data issues and coordinate a resolution with the respective client team
  • Set appropriate expectations with internal and external clients while cultivating an image of professionalism and excellence
  • Available for occasional off-hours support as required
  • Ability to occasionally travel as needed for team collaboration and special projects
  • Flexibility and willingness to participate in the work processes of an international organization, including conference calls scheduled to accommodate global time zones
