Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Kozminsky Lab develops and applies technology to create in vitro models of physiological microenvironments. Grounded in a high-throughput DNA-directed patterning technique, we are able to recapitulate cellular spatial arrangement at high throughput and high resolution. We are currently developing in vitro models to study prostate cancer metastasis to the bone marrow, with an emphasis on the study of tumor cell dormancy and osteoblastic/osteolytic phenomena. The postdoctoral scholar will work in a team with two graduate students to develop these models.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D.
Experience conducting research in mammalian cell culture, molecular and cellular biology assays, and microscopy
Past experience with animal studies
Experience mentoring graduate and undergraduate students
Preferred Qualification:
Experience in DNA and/or RNA sequencing, immunostaining, fluorescence in situ hybridization
Experience in protocol and manuscript development and in grant writing
Microfabrication experience.
