Job Overview

 

Will assist with cleaning and servicing the hospital; including a wide range of housekeeping tasks and projects; operation of a mop cart, vacuum cleaner, floor machines and carpet cleaning equipment.

 

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Shriners Children's Boston is seeking a week-day Environmental Services Technician to join our team! This position is responsible for cleaning of offices, patient rooms, and public areas.

The work schedule in Monday-Friday, 7:00-3:30

Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

• 2 years plus housekeeping, custodian, janitorial, or general cleaning experience is required
• Experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting is strongly preferred
• Ability to perform detailed tasks
• Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience operating housekeeping equipment is preferred
• Training in housekeeping cleaning methods is preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemical usage is preferred
• Knowledge of infection control methods for housekeeping procedures is preferred
