Accounting Analyst, Intermediate - Cost/General Ledger

SRNL is seeking an Accounting Analyst to provide integrated financial services and support to the cost, general ledger, and DOE cost reporting functions within the Accounting Division.
- Support the maintenance and configuration of the general ledger accounts and master data.
- Perform tasks related to the reconciliation of the general ledger activity with information reported in the DOE cost system.
- Provide detailed and credible explanations of complex financial analyses to internal and external customers.
- Perform financial procedures and prepare financial reports and plans on a periodic or ad hoc basis utilizing the SRNL accounting system and various databases.
- Identify process risk areas and internal control needs for processes.
- Identify and conduct processes to continuously improve financial procedures, analysis, and reporting systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance+ 4-6 years relevant experience
- For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is legally required
- Requires proficiency in applying accounting principles, policies, procedures, and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- A basic knowledge and understanding of personal computers utilizing any of several generally accepted software applications to perform word processing, database management, spreadsheet, and graphic functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle software
