As a SENIOR QC ANALYST  you will be responsible for in-process and final product quality analyses/inspection in compliance with standards and regulatory requirements at our FORT WORTH NORTH MANUFACTURING FACILITY at FORT WORTH, TEXAS, (US).

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Perform nonroutine testing and routine and complex analysis of raw materials, finished goods, products, packaging components, complaints, investigations per schedule and per standards/SOPs as needed.

  • Collect and analyze critical utility and/or environmental samples - calculate, interpret and trend test results.   

  • Write or review validation protocols and technical reports. Implement analytical method development, validation and method/product transfer protocols.  Write and take ownership for SOPs related to testing programs, laboratory operations and/or equipment operation.

  • Conduct investigative testing to support laboratory investigations and laboratory quality issues – recommend corrective actions and resolutions; participate in root cause analysis; lead and write laboratory investigations.

  • Perform and review equipment calibration and maintenance; serve as instrument advocate (AS&T). Identify appropriate lab instrumentation purchases; perform qualification/validation.

  • Conduct peer review and approval of data collected by coworkers. Lead laboratory initiatives or programs and day to day activities acting as a backup to supervisor as needed. Train analysts on internal procedures and test methods.

  • Perform statistical analysis. Utilize change control systems and Inventory management. Act as an SME for critical processes and testing. Support tracking and reporting laboratory performance metrics. Approve critical data.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs) 

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.

  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience 

  • 1 Years of Demonstrated Leadership

  • Work hours: Monday through Friday – from 8:00am – 5:00pm CST

  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%

  • Relocation assistance: No

  • Sponsorship available: No          

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience

  • 3+ Years of HPLC Experience

  • GC Experience
