About The Role  


The Broadband Adoption & Acquisition Manager is responsible for growing and retaining broadband subscribers while ensuring optimal utilization of network capacity across our 5G and MDU deployments. This role will focus on subscriber acquisition, churn reduction, and securing funding (grants/subsidies) to support affordable broadband access. The ideal candidate is data-driven, goal-oriented, and experienced in broadband adoption strategies, digital equity funding, and outreach efforts. This role will include developing partnerships, implementing growth strategies, and tracking KPIs for new subscriber enrollments and network utilization.


Key Role Responsibilities  

  • Drive broadband subscriber growth by implementing targeted outreach, marketing, and engagement strategies to increase adoption rates.
  • Monitor and optimize subscriber retention by analyzing churn trends and developing solutions to maximize long-term engagement.
  • Develop and execute monthly KPIs for new signups, ensuring network capacity is maximized across all broadband projects (e.g., 5G towers with a 400-subscriber capacity).
  • Work with community partners, housing authorities, and nonprofits to promote subsidized broadband programs and increase adoption.
  • Identify and secure grant funding, sponsorships, and subsidy programs to lower broadband costs for low-income households.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, tech, and account management) to ensure broadband service availability aligns with demand.
  • Analyze broadband adoption data and market trends to refine strategies and improve subscriber acquisition.
  • Educate and assist eligible individuals in accessing federal/state broadband subsidy programs such as ACP (Affordable Connectivity Program) or locally available grants.
  • Develop reports and presentations for leadership, funders, and partners, showcasing broadband growth impact and funding utilization.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Desired Skills/Qualifications  

  • 3+ years of experience in subscriber acquisition, community outreach, business development, or broadband adoption initiatives.
  • Experience in grant writing or securing funding for broadband affordability programs is a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of broadband services, digital equity initiatives, and last-mile connectivity solutions.
  • Proven ability to track, analyze, and report on subscriber growth and churn metrics.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet KPIs, and manage multiple broadband expansion efforts simultaneously.
  • Experience working with low-income communities and public-private partnerships is preferred.
