ABOUT THE ROLE

Capital One is looking for a talented Program Manager to join the Workforce Development, Program Delivery Team leading the Customer Facing Associate Mobility Program (CFAM).  We are looking for team players who are solution-oriented, are comfortable working in ambiguity, and have excellent communication and problem solving skills.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing early career talent and proven experience leading programs and processes in a well-managed way. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven track record of program management, influencing strategic decisions using a data-backed approach, project management and the overall experience for an internal mobility program.

In this role, you are expected to influence and rally teams while maintaining multiple moving parts: presentations, reporting, demos, deep dive sessions, strategic planning and day to day program tasks. You communicate and present to senior leaders and stakeholders on a regular basis focused on progress reporting, results, needs and requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with partners to improve processes and to deliver better program experiences for all involved

  • Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders on program strategy 

  • Leverage data and insights to measure program impact and identify opportunities to drive improvements 

  • Manage demand planning cycle, including timelines and role trackers

  • Manage team touchpoints with program associates and support ecosystem, including office hours and regular check-ins

  • Manage processes, communications, and stakeholder relationships across the lifecycle of the program for 2 cohorts yearly 

  • Identify impediments and mitigation strategies even to the extent of pushing prioritization and highlighting trade offs

  • Contribute collaboratively to the team and navigate and influence the organization; specifically partnering with Learning and Development, Diversity Recruiting and other enterprise partners

  • Contribute to broader Workforce Development data initiative and ad hoc team projects 

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Ability to function in a complex, ambiguous environment with many stakeholders and priorities - ability to multi-task is a MUST

  • Strong attention to detail and results oriented, ability to meet objectives and handle multiple deadlines and priorities, communicate tradeoffs, provide solutions for identified problems 

  • Strong communication, influence, and problem-solving skills across multiple stakeholders and audiences. Ability to think ahead on communication needs, strategy and roll out to keep all parties informed and organized

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Must have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision but overall collaborative and positive team player

  • Ability to influence and drive results in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to to think both operationally and strategically

  • Demonstrate good judgment and sensitivity, with a variety of different audiences

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 3 years of experience managing development or cohort-based programs

  • At least 4 years of experience in Human Resources, Corporate Social Responsibility OR Non-p
